Built Right. Made Fair. The SJ Hardware Way
At SJ Hardware USA, we don’t have a “corporate responsibility department.” We have welders, machinists, and a team that shows up every day to build things right. That’s where our ethics live — not in a policy binder, but in how we work.
When you make something start to finish, you start caring about where it comes from and who makes it. That’s why every SJ Hardware part — from our detachable shotshell carriers to our barrel clamps — is designed, machined, and finished right here in North America. We use Canadian and U.S. materials and pay fair wages to the people who shape, coat, and package every order.
Fair Work Is Good Work
We could take the easy route and move production offshore, in fact, for a few years we DID offshore. A lot of companies have. But the truth is, “cheap” always costs someone more — usually a worker earning less than they deserve or a community paying for it later.
That’s not who we are.
Every SJ Hardware product is made by skilled tradespeople in safe shops across Canada and the U.S. They earn fair pay and take pride in their craft. We know our suppliers personally, and we only work with partners who share that same respect for people and process.
Durability Is Sustainability
We don’t chase green slogans — we build things that last.
A part that lasts a lifetime doesn’t need to be replaced or thrown away. That means less waste, less shipping, and fewer tons of steel crossing oceans. Keeping our machining and coating close to home also means smaller emissions and better control over quality.
Our approach is simple: Built to last. Not to landfill.
The Real Bottom Line
For us, environmental responsibility and fair labour aren’t checkboxes — they’re how we do business. When you buy from SJ Hardware, you’re supporting real people, fair pay, and products that stand the test of time.
Because making it here, and making it to last, is the most sustainable thing we can do.
